My first thought was that only a truly asinine system would flag a TSA screener for SSSS status and extra screening. If we trust a person to perform security screening of passengers, shouldn't we trust that person as a passenger? Maybe there is some egalitarian purpose for extra screening ofsomeone who should by definition be trusted.

My second thought is that if SSSS screening does not require shoes to come off, the system is even more asinine than I initially imagined. Perhaps myrgirl receives swabbing with her shoes on when she gets SSSS treatment. Not all airports swab - most take your shoes off.
