Thanks for all the enlighenment about this issue. First of all I have been a member of MPO since 97 and Diamond since the remake in 99. It is true that the agency in Manila does get a cheaper net rate than dealing with the airlines direct. The one time I flew AC to YYZ from here I interlined with CX and the fare indicated was with CX MNL-HKG. Both are return fares Ex MNL. There is a small benefit to trying AC again, as if the plane is on time we arrive in YYZ intime for a late dinner and my new Aeroplan card arrived and I need to up myself from Prestige to the next level. I already will have made CX Diamond for 2006 by this time so there is no FFQ reason to fly CX other than to save half my money.
