I was in the only Deluxe room with 2 twin beds AND a view of the Gendarmenmarkt according to the hotel. This particular room is also one of the connecting bedrooms of the massive suite next door -- I believe the Presidential Suite.

I made my request directly to the hotel which they were able to meet. I doubt Regent would have changed anything. Perhaps you can phone the hotel directly?
