I prefer Southwest's "rigidity" in enforcing this rule over the alternative: asking an FA to reseat me after being crushed by a seatmate, and being told that it can't be done. I didn't understand the article, though. On one hand, they say that Southwest is too rigid in applying the rule. On the other hand, they quote people that claim it is arbitrary. Well, which is it?
But no one yet has been successful in overturning the policy in court.
Some sanity still exists in the legal system...
