I guess I wasnt clear in my original post.
My return flight is SAN-CLE-EWR as part of a roundtrip. The CLE-EWR doesnt have any first class seats open, but the SAN-CLE does.

Can I still use an ELTC even though only part of the flight can be confirmed?
