The Four Seasons Berlin is now the Regent Berlin of which the physical plant is wonderful. I stayed there last July in an 8th floor room with two balconies overlooking the Gendarmenmarkt, just before FS ceased to manage the property. I do not know what the service is like now, but The Regent is still a property to consider.
The Adlon seems to be most peoples' favourite but I did not like it when I visited. I went to check out the hotel to see if I should stay there one night and then one night at the FS. After my visit I decided 2 nights at the FS it was!!
Rocco Forte is opening a hotel in Berlin just off the Unter den Linden -- the Hotel de Rome, I believe, but I am not sure if it will be open any time soon. Once open this property will be one to keep an eye on.
Just booked requesting 7/8 th floor with view of Gendarmenmarkt, but the web site seemed to say either/or. Is it possible to have both? I booked Club but possibly I should not have? Would appreciate your advice. Thanks.
