I agree with beaubo -- I have found the same ease with finding *A seats than AP seats -- at least I can get on direct flight or flights with one stop as opposed to connecting a million and one times (and overnight!) before getting to the final destination.
But think of all the airports and MLL's you get to visit on an AP reward trip say from YOW-YYJ. It gives you a whole new perspective on how vast and varied Canada really is.
