Unfortunately, during my stay, we were treated with the LA crowd (and their superficial wealth). I actually witnessed a 10 year old boy reprimand the pool bartender for not addressing him by his last name. For this, my Mother would have back-handed me before the ice hit the cup. Instead, darling Noah received an approving rub of the head.
I absolutely love the Four Seasons Maui (I have also stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani, which I also adored). I must agree with you that the LA rich "folk" are terribly rude, as well as their children. I grew up dirt poor; I don't even want to think what would have happened if my parents ever caught me talking the way I have seen some of the kids talk to the wait staff; it’s outrageous. I enjoy the scene at the FS, though. One thing about the FS, you have to dress nicely at all times, I admit it is a rather snobby place.
