You have the sums correct. So if you stopped over in London in one direction, the total cost of the flights would be 309,000 - 165,000 in one direction (with stopover in the middle) and 144,000 in the other (with no stopover). Makes paying 10,000 points for a stopover not look so bad afterall, eh?
