Seems a little unfair. I booked 2 tickets TSV-SYD-SIN-SYD-TSV in business class however at the time of booking there were no available seats in business class for the SYD-TSV leg. Anyway, thought I should ask no I am in SYD waiting. Bit disappointing really, couldn't they stretch the rules a little bit? I coughed up 200000 points for business all the way - seems a bit rich that I can't do it because the journey has already commenced!

if not why didnt you order 2 awards tsv-syd in bus for 45k and syd-sin in F for 125k still under the 200k! or syd-sin for 100k making the whole trip 145k?
Yes the no upgrade after first seg commenced is a p+++ off when they have your hard earned points already. even a 5k penalty would be worth it!
