Seems a little unfair. I booked 2 tickets TSV-SYD-SIN-SYD-TSV in business class however at the time of booking there were no available seats in business class for the SYD-TSV leg. Anyway, thought I should ask now I am in SYD waiting. Went to the CS desk and they informed me that there were seats in U and X which were the ones I needed however there was nothing they could do, I would have to ring 131211. Did that at 8.00am and was told that yes, there were seats in that class HOWEVER because I had commenced the journey there was no way it could be changed.
Bit disappointing really, couldn't they stretch the rules a little bit? I coughed up 200000 points for business all the way - seems a bit rich that I can't do it because the journey has already commenced!
