Interestingly, the same also applies for domestic connecting sectors of international flights: if these are booked in B, H or K then the connecting flights get SC's at the full economy rate. Given that international K fares are often not much more than the cheapest available (and indeed that the connecting flights are effectively free in many cases), this is a relatively easy way of getting extra SC's.
