In all my days, I have never seen a bigger cluster $*%& than the 'G' gates.
As an ex employee of Independence, I am no fan of them (as you can see, I am a Premier on UAL!). However, I would rather fly IAir then have to go to through the 'G' gate fiasco. Even if I wasn't IAD based in my job, I would just as soon terminate in IAD from another destination on UAL, then pick up a flight on IAir to my ultimate east coast destination. Never thought I would say this, but Independence is so much more organized in the 'A' gates, and you aren't piled on one another either. You can actually move around, and there are a few more food options, and the 'B' gates are steps away with more food options. You can also walk there from the main terminal (no nasty shuttle bus), and when you get off your flight, there isn't this mad cue to get to one of those busses, with people pushing and shoving. I am SO hoping the UAX will have a few of the newly built 'Z' gates once they become operational. Maybe that would alleviate some of the 'G' gate drama!!! Just say NO to 'G'!!!

As an aside, I flew for Atlantic Coast as UX, then briefly as crew for IAir (only 7 mos). Maybe it's just me, but I thought ACA did a better job turning flights than the current 6 carriers that make up the UX operations at IAD. In the 9 or 10 times I have flown express out of IAD, 1/2 of them have been delayed or CX outright. I have never seen a more disorganized UX system in all my days. I am not biased, as I don't honestly care about IAir/ACA. I just thought the UX process at ACA was a lot smoother before they left the program. Thoughts?
