As mentioned in other posts, the full service hotels are nice. I have chosen to stay at RI or CY properties on ski trips, just because getting in and out is easier than dealing with business hotels and hauling gear through lobbies, long hallways and big garages. Quick easy b-fast on the way out the door is good as well.

I guess it depends on what your purpose for being in SLC is.
