Spoke to an ex-military Continental pilot last night (dad of one of my friends), and he's incredibly fed up with security in terms of the hassles and their lack of doing anything meaningful. He said something about having taken the firearm-in-the-cockpit training chiefly to be able to bypass TSA hassles at the airport.
