It's interesting to see what is happening with certain routes such as flights to Hobart.

First off, QF reduced a lot of their flights there and introduced some JQ flights. So first off, the availability of QF flights is made more difficult - especially in the red-e-deal class fares.

Today I was planning a holiday to Hobart. So off I go to the various websites and price up some flights (Bne - Hobart)

DJ - $69 each way + fees
JQ - $69 each way + fees
QF - $180+ each way + fees.

While I normally fly QF for leisure, couldn't justify over $140 difference just for QF over the others.

It's things like this which are killing QF to certain destinations I believe.
