Codeshare flights, who gets paid?
I am looking at booking a flight to AKL ex YVR. Typically I end up with a paper ticket issued through a company TA, the tickets have always been on NZ ticket stock. For various reasons, I will now be booking myself and using an eticket. I have a choice of booking though NZ's site or AC.com. Price is within a couple of $$ of being the same. The flight is on AC metal for YVR-SFO, then NZ metal SFO-AKL.
If I book on AC.com will AC make more money from my ticket than if I book through NZ's site? Does it make any financial difference to either carrier? How do carriers split revenue on codeshare flights?
