What a mistake staying at this hotel. This is not a luxury hotel. Mandarin Oriental should distance thenselves from this dump until they complete the renovations.
Unfortunately, it looks like they haven't made much progress since I stayed there in the Fall.
Send an email to MO corporate. I had a similar experience in September 2004, received a letter from the Royal Monceau GM expressing his apologies, and a voucher for a free night's stay once the MO renovations are complete.
