my old passport went through the washing machine and was silghtly damaged - the plastic over the photo was coming off - so i got a new one and had them add the extra pages to it since i was almost out in my old one (wouldnt you know it, i havent been traveling at all since i got my new passport)

anyway...i marked on the form for them to send my old passport back....they didn't

i was really looking forward to keeping my old passport with alll the country stamps in it
