Hello, I just found this forum and it's wonderful.

Last night I got a call from Marriott reservations offering me three different travel packages for entering the Million Mile Sweepstakes. One package was the Maui Marriott on Kaanapali Beach. I'd read here that the property was going strictly time share and the agent confimed this. Then she said that Mariott had bought the Hyatt property next door and that it would be the "Hotel portion" of the resort.

I've stayed at the Hyatt and it's amazing. She also said the renovations to the Marriott would impress me as much as the Hyatt.

This is the first time I've been called (in the evening) to receive such offers. Is this common? I was offered 5 nights, a rental car, free parking and $50.00 for $748.00. I plan on calling the platinum line to see how great a deal this really is.
