I think there's a lot of oversight on ticket reissues these days. I had a PC rep suggest that I'd have to pay a change fee to reroute when my flight was delayed with a potential misconnect.

Of course I twisted some arms at the Elite desk and got it done.
It just seems that people want to help, but nobody wants to have their name or login associated with the change and related fee waiver. The beancounters are clearly in control these days...
