So the short answer is that you can't take CO metal on those discount coupons because your NW flight number isn't going to be in the range for which the coupon is offered.
Interesting. I can't find that language anywhere in the terms and conditions of the e-mail I received from NW.
Oh well. I think I have found a suitable alternative on NW metal.
