Either a lying cab driver or a family of complete idiots. A last minute flight on SWA from SAT-TPA costs $249 per person and takes 2 hrs 15 minutes for the non-stop and 4 or 5 hrs for a connecting flight. Taking ANY of the flights would have saved ~$1000 and many, many hours.
