My understanding is, and I'm not a FT veteran so I may be corrected here, is that you need to request the upgrade either online or by speaking with an agent. This action places you in a queue. THEN you need to request the upgrade when you arrive at the airport to activate your position in the queue during checkin. This is at least how it was explained to me at the AC a few weeks ago. Do I have this right experts?
