The soy benefits all of us so stop complaining

It is not secret that AA is in a cash crunch, as loyal flyers this move to soy really benefits us.

1. AA saves tons of money on the cost of nuts
2. Soy nuts weigh less per volume then the other nuts in the mix, over a year and the million+ flights AA has that is a significant fuel cost reduction
3. Who eats the nuts? Mostly frequent flyers in J/F, since they tend to eat less soy and when they do eat it it has less of a caloric impact so on average these frequent flyers weigh less and that also contributes to a significant fuel savings. This is relevant even when we fly in coach or Eagle

These savings contribute to AA staying out of bankruptcy which hurts mostly us loyal flyers as we have a vested interest and cannot just easily move to a competitor

These days when AA is rolling back on many amenities we should concentrate our criticisms on the issues that hurt us not benefit us.

Disclaimer: I do not own any shares in soy producing company or anything like that.
