i think on business travel the price for breakfast is not so important. but if you do it out of your own pocket, i think you will be shocked to see that some Spg properties bill 25USD for a single breakfast.
i stayed at the sheraton moscow the last week, as i am platinum with starwood, i got a upgrade to a so called junior suite (which only had the size of a normal room) but received breakfast in the lounge. well in only managed two times to eat breakfast, as i was not in hotel or sleeping too long, but the breakfast was asesome.

anyway, a friend of mine, who has no status, last time paid 25 USD for a breakfast there.
if it is that expensive, i think i can understand people, who are going for hilton.

i suggest the following changes in the spg programm:

platinum preferred should earn 100% starpoints , i think the best customers have to get more points than gold members.

a comp. breakfast should be addet as benefit (even if you get the axx to the lounge )

this would be my ideas.

anyway, now i am with starwood and i earned up to 12000 starpoints with 3 stays. so i am quite happy with that program.

@ william. giving the highest status to centurioncard holders is a good thing.
my additional cardholder who is working for a big company moved his business travel to spg too.
so keep this benefit for ever please and i will stay with your company .
