That's interesting, because what I was told is that an award ticket cannot be used with a Great Lakes Aviation flight, period. It doesn't matter whether there is a UA flight number.
The agent said that if a Great Lakes Aviation flight has a UA flight number, you could buy a UA ticket on it, but you can't issue an award.
