When checking in in-person, they just need the DL. Have not been asked for my Elite card or my credit card in years.
I am not an expert with United, but that's what happened:
-For the "Easy Checkin" I had to use my credit card, agent told me drivers license will work too, but did not.
-I checked in-person at LH - they needed my credit card, which they passed through a reader on the keyboard. Still, they couldn't print the boarding cards, had to call a specialist ... problem was: 2 persons on one e-ticket.
The same thing happened with the return flight too. Finally we got boarding cards MUC-FRA, they wrote an e-mail/telex to FRA, and we picked up the boarding card FRA-MIA in FRA.
I just mention this because Neal has 3 family members coming ...
