I am, having a hard time choosing between the Europa and the Excelsior Lido for 2 nights in Venice with the kids (girls, 9 & 11).

The Lido has a higher rack rate? Which has a better record for Platinums? I am leaning otwards Lido as I think the pool will be a nice change of pace vs. the city hotels, but the pictures make the Europa look very nice.
