Just to reiterate: DL has cut back its true business class service JFK to the Coast. Now there are just a couple flights per day, and they will disappear completely come summer. Finally, the DL transcon business service was cut back to domestic F levels a while ago. For those of us New Yorkers who use DL to Europe, this is kind of pathetic. I expect a "full-service" airline to sell an international-standard business class service from New York to Los Angeles as a bare minimum for its transcon offerings.

I am also going to look into UA's PS. I believe my DL Crown Room Club card will get me into the UA Red Carpet Club if I buy a UA ticket (any class).
