My Credit Union ATM worked just fine a week ago. Believe it was at the same one you describe.

Probably cost me more to use it than using the Money Exchange nearby to withdraw 3,000 Yen (only had a few hours to kill). But there was only one person ahead of me at the ATM, and the line at the Exchange was rather lengthy. And of course I had visions of these backpackers searching for their cash once they get to the window .... kinda like the women at a grocery in the US who wait until the purchase is rung up before they decide to open their pocketbooks and search for a means to pay for it

OK, OK, let the flames fly, but it just gets old, and it's not the FIRST time they have to pay for groceries ...
