I would think that a flight from SLC to Europe would take off. Look at BA. They have flights out of PHX that started out on a 744 then went to a 777 now back to a 744. I have taken the BA flight out of PH when i lived there and it was always full or close to full. If they did the routing correct, they could have some great business coming out of the west. I will say that Luftansa did have to pull their flight from PHX to Germany out becuase it was not making money, but BA must have done something right where they needed to switch back to a 744.
