Restaurant.com is running their first ever 80% off coupon TODAY ONLY (8/8/08) until 11:59pm CST. The code is "FIRST". This makes $25 certificates (normally sold for $10) cost only $2. I just bought about a dozen. One incredible thing about this coupon is that since it's early in the month there's still a relatively good selection available. Normally, the best they do is a 60% or 70% off near the end of the month when all the good restaurants are gone. Enjoy!

The promotion is still there, but at 70% now. The code is "thanks". If you go to the restaurant.com site, you can sign up to be a member (free), and they will e-mail you all of their promotions.

I have been a member for a few years now, and have saved quite a bit of $$$. Sometimes, the requirement for a particular restaurant is you must spend a minimum of $35 or $40. We "get around this" by bringing our daughter with us - and having no problem with the minimum.

There is a promotion through midnight* tonight for purchasing gift certificates.

The promotion is to get a $10 gift certificate for $1.80 (normal cost, $4), a $25 gift certificate for $4 (normally $10), $50 gift cert for $8, $75 cert for $12. (The promo discount is 60% off the normal price of a gift certificate.) There are minimum dine spends: For a face value $10 cert, it's $20. For a face value $25 one, it's $35. For a $50 one, it's $100. For a $75 one, it's $150.
