Three out of the four flights are listed as on S80s, which I assume are MD-80s. On AA’s website it’s mentioned that most aircraft have large and extended overhead bins. Is this true of the S80s? Does that mean that legal sized carryons can fit perpendicular to the aircraft’s centerline or must they be place parallel to the centerline?
The outbound flight shows a breakfast in first class. Can anyone comment on what this might be, especially after the March 1 meal cutback?
Our return flight to SEA, approximately of 4-hours duration and departing DFW at 4:32PM, shows a snack in first class. According to another thread a snack on a midcon is apt to consist of a small salad, half sandwich or 5-inch pizza and a prepackaged cookie. Is this an accurate assessment? Does AA still serve wine in first class?
Thanks in advance for any responses. I’ve found that realistic expectations help to make a more pleasant flight.
On the last MD 80 I was on, the 3 seat side (starboard) had the extended bins. The 2 seat side (port) had small bins. Forget about the breakfast and you are bound to not be disapointed. It might be good, and it might not.
Yes, I have seen a lot of whine in first class. Again, don't get your hopes up about the food for the snack.
