So what do you think is going to happen when I try to check in at LAX for 1st and my ticket clearly states Z class. (I'm pretty sure Z is an business award class).

What should I do?

I'm pretty sure that "Z" is First Class award ticket on Qantas. "U" would be Business Class award ticket on Qantas.
