Sounds like it really is pretty poor. The appeal for me, is the possibility of getting the FC fare ahead of time, rather than upgrading at the gate. Of course I do need one AA flight if I do the promo, but if I don't go away at Christmas I won't likely get even three carriers (including CP and AA).

I think I'd actually get more q-miles flying FC through ORD since the bonus is apparently 50%.
