Life Status - 2 mill. AA miles v 14,000 QF SCs

Guys, check this out, as I don't think the Lifetime Status aspect was considered in the 'Should I move my business to AA from QF after the May miles thievery' / AA Platinum Challenge etc debates - http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthrea...86#post3782986

Any opinions/ideas ?!? 2 million miles is a hell of a lot to have to earn, but as they can be earned from ANY qualifying source I suspect it MAY be easier to get than 14,000 SCs... but I may be totally wrong !

Any of you maths/stats/cosmology types out there able to work out which is easier, on average, to get ?!? (I know there are a lot of variables, but a general assessment can surely be made, no ?)

Still can't get over the fact that AA will give Life Status based on miles that do not need to be earned flying with them, but that is another debate !
