Luxury- I agree about the IC- but I will not stay there anymore due to the issues my colleague had 3 years ago. Not to elaborate and create a big story- but basically he was there with his best friend who had a terminal disease- and the IC was a goodbye between two friends of 40 years- in other words a very very important situation. The IC treated them terribly- they had booked (and paid) for a suite and had to fight to get it. The story goes on and on... granted IC did make good afterwards but it was really a situation where making good made no difference- the friend had passed away. As a result, I only stay at IC as the hotel of absoulute last call- and ensure that the people who work for my companies do the same. I will pay a lot rather than stay at IC- some people will say this is "daft" or "ridiculous" but I could not erase the look on my colleagues face after I sent him to the IC paris. I used to love the hotel- perhaps I am too sentimental- but this is how it is. The Bristol staff have consistently been very kind to me- and sure to ensure that meetings go well when I have held them in the hotel.
