I know most folks on this forum don't like the Registered Traveller program (and neither do I but even so I am part of it) but it is kind of empowering to have them tell you to take off your shoes, refuse, get selected and then show them the "Green Stamp" and get unselected. Same thing when they ask to swab the laptop and you get to say "no". Petty? Yes. Fun anyway. Ya...
