NYC to Los Angeles - How does AA compare?

I do 6-8 transcons to LAX a year. I always do AA J, usually purchased far enough in advance to get very low fares. However, I have noticed that Delta F is pretty competively priced to AA business class. Also, UA J for the PS service is a comperable fare. At 6'2" and 220, I find the J class AA seats pretty snug. Also, on the redeyes I occasionally take, the J class AA seats are uncomfortable as I cannot kep the foot rest down if I want to fully recline (legs can't go straight).

So, my question for purposes of conversation to help me decide on whether to to do a status match is:

1) What advantages does AA have in its service/benefits as compared to UA and Delta?

2) How do the J seats compare to the Delta F on these routes?

3) Is Delta F transcon a full F service that is far superior to UA or AA J?

4) How do the UA PS checkin areas at LAX compare to the AA F counter?

5) Do UA or Delta offer any extras to Elite members on these routes that AA doesn't offer?

6) Anything I am missing?

Also, I have noticed that AA from JFK to Long Beach in F is the same price as J to LAX. How does the service compare? I would drive the extra 15 mins if it is a true F class experience.

Thanks in advance for any insight anyone may have. I have started my business and decided that, as my travel increases, the one perk I will give myself is less coach travel.

Also, thank you all for the tips and information I have learned since I started reading this board. I'm HOOKED!!
