I believe the website won't be able to process a refund if travel has passed or is within 48 hours of travel. Therefore, it may be worth your while to just change the booking to a date well in the future (being a no-show will should not affect this at all) and make sure that whoever you speak to revalidates the eticket. Then, fingers crossed, ba.com might perform a refund.

Hi Monsieur,
When I spoke to BA on Thursday to question why I couldn't refund online I thought exactly what you suggested and asked if I could change my flight for a later date and then perform the refund online. I was informed that it was not possible to do that because the system would not recognise the booking as the original flight contained the e-ticket number and if you rebook the reservation the number is not transfered. What??? Does that make sense? I don't think so. I assume even if you changed to a later date you would still not be able access "manage my booking" to change or cancel online. Which is really stupid. The most annoying thing is the fact I was travelling with someone on the same booking and BA is going to charge me £15.00 per passenger even though it is one booking. So BA makes £30.00 simply because I can't cancel online. How unfair is that? Thank you for your advice anyway. I guess I should still write in and complain.
