I doubt I've taken anything longer than a 40 mile taxi ride in China.

However, last year I had to taxi from my house to Haneda airport because my flight was leaving at 7am - not possible to get there in time using the train system in Tokyo in time for the flight. $125 for the 4o minute taxi ride.
