It might be easier to look for a dashboard mount and compatible camera than the other way around. A lot of the Viofo units are wedge shaped which matches windshield angle with the camera at the bottom.

FWIW, I'd probably buy different models to put in my own car vs a rental. There's a lot of wires or power adapter that I wouldn't want to dislodge.
Thanks. More stuff to consider. Was hoping to keep it simple. Just so tired of dealing with road rage right now. So many psycho drivers as of late and with Toronto now only have one season (construction) I need to figure this out.
