I thought this thread was going to be on a slightly different topic. I've been refused a boarding pass from a Kiosk because, according to the message on the screen, my "itinerary contains one or more international segments." This on a ticket AUS-DFW-SEA-BLI. Now, Bellingham is close to the border, but we're at least 17 miles inside the US. The gate agent said it's because the itinerary contained another carrier (Alaska/Horizon), but it seems strange that a second carrier would automatically trigger a message indicating an international segment.
