Easy. That would be Nadi to Suva in Fiji. A four hour roller coaster taxi ride down the Queen's road from Fiji's main resort town to its capital. My Indian taxi driver actually took me to his house for a bite at his place before we started the journey proper (some of the best aloo paratha I've ever eaten). There are no lighst on the road (only cat's eyes) and on the couple of occasions we got out to stretch our legs, the night sky was just awesome. This is why I travel!

Total cost of the journey was approx (in US money in defference to most of FT's readership) was $75 which I rounded up to approx $100.

The alternative was to stay at a place in Nadi overnight and get a flight with either Air Fiji or Air Sunflower the following day.
