This is not 100% correct. If it has no Edit availability then it won't show up as available under CSR or CSRB. However, it can and will show up in Chase Travel when searching under other cards. As I mentioned in my post directly above yours, I can pull up the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski for January 2027 under my Ink Preferred and book it as a regular non Edit hotel.
They can still pay for the hotel using their CSR to meet spend for their SUB and earn 8x since it's still a Chase Travel booking even if it's booked as non Edit because all Chase travel bookings earn 8x if charged to a CSR, not only Edit bookings.
to the OP: do you have price match on your account? I haven’t searched for a bit, but I did not see anything about price-match on my account last time I checked - so far as I’m aware, price match has not rolled out globally yet, and only applies to limited accounts, so make sure you have it if you are trying to use it.
