It has only now occurred to me that the Hughes system they installed on the 717 is distinct from the one being mass installed on the RJs. The 717 system will be able to connect to both LEO and GEO satellites, and will be the same one installed on the A321neo and A35K starting next year. DL will also be the first airline to 'switch over' to the Viasat-3 F2 when it comes live. And they are fully aware of the New Glenn mishaps but are still committed to a 2028 timeframe, what with Blue Origin buying more launch capacity.
