A vivid example of the wisdom of dealing with potential trouble before takeoff, rather than waiting until things escalate and the plane is in the air.
This. I had an elderly lady in my row on a UA flight today who was visibly sick upon boarding. She asked the First Class FA for a bag and threw up several times during boarding. At one point the FA asked the captain whether she should be deplaned and he said no. FA told the gate agent closing the door to pray for the flight to go smoothly. I was surprised how nonchalant UA employees were. I'd prefer they be proactive rather than ask for prayers.
