Hi,

Thanks everyone for the advice. Did LHR-DEL last night. Was really quite impressed with VS! Especially the ground services. A brief post-trip update:

-The limo was on time and did the drive-thru check-in effortlessly.
-clubhouse staff were superb and most helpful. They monitored the J seatplan every 15 minutes or so to ensure that the seat next to me remained empty.
-I was able to get an appointment for a haircut. The lady who did the cut was exceptionally friendly and chatty. She noticed that I was starting to get a cold and was brilliant in pouring some eucalyptus/menthol inhaling oil on a napkin for me to carry on the flight. ^
-i had dinner in the lounge (delicious thai curry & rice ^ as the mains and lots of other cold stuff) and went to bed straight after takeoff. They didn't have any drambuie so I had to settle for some Grand Marnier after dinner though!
-The seat was slighly uncomfortable as I sleep on my side and was only comfortable in a z position.
-PJs were handed out and were really comfortable. The kit, somewhat surprisingly for this non-suite A340, was the Oswald Boateng version. (Although I missed out on the cufflinks as the free gift. )
-was able to get a shoulder massage on board after waking up.
-Only slight negative was the lack of attention during the brekkie service. I had to call three times before someone gave me a cup of Earl Grey.

All in all though, I was really impressed with Upper class as a business class product. Some of it's features are quite similar to other airlines' in First class. I would certainly look to fly VS again when possible. Especially want to try it on one of the suite routes to the far-east now!

cheers
AJ
