I was there mid '04.
The Centurion rate yielded a nice corner suite for a good weekday price. The hotel's quality, though, is low. The Mark is clearly a second-tier NYC hotel. Older furnishings, somewhat groovy-styled (meaning 1970's) bathrooms with no seperate shower in the suite, very mediocre food venues (including a poor tea service with day-old refrigerated tasting tea sandwiches).
The service was very warm. I like the people there very much.
If you need to be on the UES, it is an acceptable option. But if you want 5* NYC hotel facilities, this is not the place.
